Export PDF to other formats

Using the Export feature, documents with English characters can be converted from a PDF to a variety of standard formats.

Note: Using the Export feature to change a PDF document to different format (i.e. Word) does not always create an exact replica of the original document. This is caused by the limited information a PDF contains. Fonts, spacing, and other formatting can be lost in the exporting process. To create a replica of your original PDF, you can reformat the document using the tools available in the program that the file was exported to.

 

  1.  Open the PDF document you want to export.
  2. From the menu bar select File and choose Export.
  3. From the list of available formats, select your desired type. A brief description if each format is listed below:
    • PDF/A
      Create an Archived version of your PDF document.

    • to Microsoft Word (RTF) format.
      Create a version of your PDF document in Microsoft Word Rich Text format.

    • to Microsoft Word (DOCX)
      Create a version of your PDF document in Microsoft Word DOCX format.

    • to Microsoft Excel (XLS /XLSX)
      Create a version of your PDF document in Microsoft Excel XLS / XLSX format.

    • to Microsoft PowerPoint (PPTX)
      Create a version of your PDF document in Microsoft PowerPoint PPTX format.

    • to Open Office Document (ODT)
      Create a version of your PDF document in Open Office format.

    • to Extensible Markup Language (XML)
      Create a version of your PDF document in Extensible Markup Language format.

    • to Web Page (HTML)
      Create a version of your PDF document in HTML format.

    • to Text
      Create a version of your PDF document in basic text format.

    • to eBook EPUB
      Create a version of your PDF document in eBook EPUB format for viewing with compatible divices or applications.

    • to eBook ALTO
      Create a version of your PDF document in eBook ALTO format for viewing with compatible divices or applications..

    • to eBook FB2
      Create a version of your PDF document in eBook FB2 format for viewing with compatible divices or applications..

    • to Microsoft XPS
      Create a version of your PDF document in Microsoft XPS format.


  4. Within the Save As dialogue box, enter a name and select Save to create the new document. The new document will not automatically open.

    Note: Please allow a few minutes for the export process to complete. Larger files will take longer to export. A box will appear showing the exporting percentage completed. Once the box disappears, exporting has been completed. The new document will not automatically open.
